About the Book and Author
Grounding with Meditation and Qigong with Liu He Ba Fa and Wuji Quan are included with Shaktipat meditation by Ricardo B Serrano, a TCM practitioner and Qigong master in this book to resolve health challenges.
NITYANANDA IS THE DIVINE PRESENCE EXPLORES SPIRITUAL AWAKENING THROUGH MEDITATION AND ENERGY PRACTICES Authors M.U. Hatengdi and Ricardo B. Serrano present a guide to shaktipat, meditation, and Qigong for spiritual growth and holistic well being.
New York, NY, March 23, 2026 — Nityananda is the Divine Presence: The guru is the means. Shiva Sutra 2.6 offers readers a deeply spiritual and practical pathway to inner awakening, blending ancient wisdom with accessible modern practices. Authored by M.U. Hatengdi with a preface by Ricardo B. Serrano, the book centers on the transformative power of shaktipat and the guiding presence of the guru in spiritual realization.
Rooted in the teachings of the Shiva Sutras and Vajrayana, the book introduces readers to the concept of divine presence as an experiential reality rather than an abstract idea. Through clear explanations and guided practices, Hatengdi presents a framework for cultivating awareness, inner stillness, and spiritual connection. The text emphasizes that the guru serves as a vital channel through which spiritual energy is awakened, allowing individuals to access deeper levels of consciousness
Beyond its philosophical foundation, the book integrates practical disciplines such as meditation, Qigong, Liu He Ba Fa, and Wuji Quan. These practices are presented as tools not only for spiritual development but also for maintaining physical health and emotional balance. By focusing on the nourishment of Shen, or spirit, the authors highlight the interconnectedness of body, mind, and energy, offering readers a holistic approach to well being.
The inspiration behind the book lies in the desire to make profound spiritual experiences more accessible. Hatengdi shares insights drawn from dedicated practice and teaching, aiming to guide readers toward direct experience rather than theoretical understanding alone. Serrano’s contribution in the preface further contextualizes the teachings, reinforcing the importance of disciplined practice and openness to transformation.
This work is especially suited for readers interested in Eastern philosophy, meditation, energy healing, and integrative wellness practices. Whether new to spiritual exploration or already on a dedicated path, readers will find value in the book’s combination of timeless teachings and practical application.
M.U. Hatengdi brings a thoughtful and experiential perspective to the subject, while Ricardo B. Serrano adds depth through his reflective preface. Together, they present a work that bridges spiritual tradition and contemporary practice, encouraging readers to explore the divine presence within themselves.
Regularly working with the psoas (muscle of the soul) through the 5 Tibetan Rites can help transition from a state of chronic stress (tight) to a state of ease and “soulful” connection (released).
It is through a guru, master that the Shakti is awakened. – Kabir
“To actually know who you are is a big problem. You have to find out yourself where you are situated. It happens by the grace of Lord Siva, or by the grace of a master, or by the grace of the scriptures (sastras).” – Swamiji Lakshmanjoo
The mission of the Shaktipat Intensive by Acharya and Qigong Master Ricardo B Serrano is to facilitate Diksha -Shaktipat Meditation, and Qigong – to realize Self and Qi-healing. Realization is the merging of the mind in the Self (Divine Consciousness). In the Self-realized state, the mind becomes stable and free of thoughts; it become still. We experience supreme bliss when we go beyond thoughts. As the mind becomes one with the Self, it acquires the power of the Self that can be used for healing, creativity, rejuvenation, stress management, and for opening the heart to unconditional love, quieting the restless mind to attain personal transformation and freedom.
The technique for developing and realizing the Self, Buddha nature or Krishna nature must preferably be learned from a living spiritual teacher who can impart the proper technique, spiritual help and blessings. The spiritual technique alone is not enough. The help and blessings (Shaktipat initiation) of Acharya Ricardo B Serrano are necessary and of utmost importance.
“It is through a guru, master that the Shakti is awakened – by word, touch, look, or thought.” – Kabir
He is the real Guru
Who can reveal the form of the formless
before your eyes;
Who teaches the simple path,
without rites or ceremonies;
Who does not make you close
your doors, and hold your breath,
and renounce the world;
Who makes you perceive
the Supreme Spirit
wherever the mind attaches itself;
Who teaches you to be still
in the midst of all your activities.
Fearless, always immersed in bliss,
he keeps the spirit of yoga
in the midst of enjoyments. KABIR
What you meditate on, you become. I meditate by chanting the great redeeming mantra OM NAMAH SHIVAYA and also on the form of my Shaiva Guru Bhagawan Nityananda to imbibe the Guru’s shakti. – Master Ricardo B Serrano
Acharya Ricardo B Serrano is just like a Self-Realized yogi, a Shaiva teacher/ guide (preceptor) or meditation Master, who acts as a clear channel for the grace of God, and the disciple’s worthiness draws that grace from him. He can awaken the disciple’s dormant spiritual energy, kundalini, through Shaktipat (transmission of divine energy) also called Tao Healing Hands from an authentic Taoist point of view.
“An ideal Guru should be capable of bestowing grace through Shaktipat… It is very rare to find such a Guru.” – Kularnava Tantra
Acharya Ricardo’s powerful inner blissful transformative experiences with Sadguru Nityananda’s Grace while performing the tantric and spiritual practices during his three month’s vacation, from November, 2009 till February 2010, in the Philippines, which drove him to write about it, have convinced him that he has become just like an Acharya with the ability to do Shaktipat. These experiences include dreams where he met face to face his late mother and Siddhas in Siddhaloka, and Self-Realization experiences such as overwhelming God’s love and universal oneness, inner peace and quiet mind he hasn’t felt before. The most powerful and unforgettable experience while practicing Shaktipat was being in the flow of a powerful loving Shakti (Qi) opening his heart greatly to God’s (Shiva’s) unconditional love and expansion of his consciousness uniting with the universal or Cosmic consciousness. He has to ground himself, connecting with Mother Earth, with Qigong to enable his physical body to handle this powerful expansion of consciousness and overwhelming Qi flow. This liberating and enlightening experience through the Grace of Bhagawan Sadguru Nityananda would be similar to a pond of water (you) reuniting and becoming one with the vastness of the ocean (God) through a river path (Sadguru).
Without God’s grace through a Guru, represented by his energy or spirit (“Shakti”), there can be no fulfillment or realization (enlightenment, liberation).
The Guru is like a boat that takes us across the ocean of worldliness toward oneness with God.
Sadgurunath Maharaj Ki Jay (Hail the true Guru).

In Akashic Records Reading with Tao Chang, author Ricardo B. Serrano explores the intertwining of Taoist philosophy and the concept of Akashic Records, a repository of a soul’s history and potential future as it relates to healing and transformation. Serrano’s approach, deeply rooted in the teachings of Lao Tzu, emphasizes the role of heart-opening and unconditional love in spiritual growth.
Serrano presents an intriguing viewpoint on the significance of one’s actions, suggesting that deeds of love, compassion, and kindness can elevate one’s spiritual standing, as recorded in the Akashic Records. Conversely, negative actions are thought to lower vibrational levels, affecting various life aspects. The book argues for a close connection between actions and spiritual development, a theme resonant in many spiritual traditions.
The writing style is clear and informative, reflecting Serrano’s profound understanding of Taoist principles. He skillfully explains complex concepts like Tao Science and the soul’s location in the body, making them accessible to readers new to these ideas. The use of Sanskrit terms and references to ancient spiritual concepts adds authenticity, and the inclusion of quotes and teachings from spiritual masters deepens the book’s impact. Serrano effectively combines spiritual teachings with practical advice, enriched by his personal experiences. This blend enhances the book’s credibility, offering a holistic view of spiritual development.
While some may find the frequent use of quotes and proverbs repetitive, they serve to underline key points and strengthen the book’s arguments. The book’s layout, with clear explanations and segmentations, would benefit from further editing to enhance readability. Despite this, Akashic Records Reading with Tao Chang remains a valuable resource for those interested in the intersection of spirituality, Taoist philosophy, and energy healing. It offers practical insights and guidance for individuals on a self-discovery and soul-enlightenment journey, potentially providing answers to life’s challenges and directions for overcoming obstacles in health, relationships, and finances.
Serrano’s work, Akashic Records Reading with Tao Chang, is a meaningful contribution to spiritual literature, promising a hopeful perspective on a more enlightened future for humanity.

In his book Akashic Records Reading with Tao Chang, Ricardo Serrano explores the transformative potential of the Tao Source and Akashic repository of every thought, word, and deed of every living being—past, present, and future—for healing. He covers areas such as soul placement, Tao Chang Fields, quantum science, and positive information on vibrational fields, describing practices like Tao calligraphy and the Three Hearts meditation. Serrano speaks of the importance of the Hara, Three Dantiens, and Qigong for well-being, incorporating Daoist principles like the Three Treasures—Jing, Qi, and Shen. He explores quantum entanglement, Torus geometry, and transforming the physical into a light body. Serrano discusses distance healing, the cyclical resurgence of vibrational medicine, and the role of sound healing. He integrates various spiritual practices, emphasizing the holistic approach to self-realization and union with the Tao, advocating for the refinement of sexual essence and the importance of personal faith and devotion.
I have something of a head start with most other readers in the fact that I grew up in a matriarchal East Asian household, and so for me, the foundation with regard to traditional Chinese medicine, herb tonics, and the philosophy of Qigong was already there. Why this is important to state is that even with this background, I still learned a great deal from Akashic Records Reading with Tao Chang by Ricardo Serrano. This is a testament to the quality and scope of his work, as well as the accessibility of his teachings to everyone. The writing is intelligent and insightful, but easy to understand and comprehend. The most interesting to me was the common principles in sonic transformational practices, particularly its variety of Hindu mantras, shamanic chanting, and insights from the Hathors, all identified as sharing principles. I didn’t know that this universality across some incredibly diverse cultural and spiritual traditions existed as a common thread in the understanding of sound’s transformative power. Serrano’s work is exhaustively researched and passionately conveyed, and I have no doubt it will touch all who read it.
Soul Healing is not similar to Qigong healing. Qigong is energy healing. We go beyond energy. It’s Divine Healing Hands or Divine Soul Healing. We can do one-to-one healing, group healing, and distance healing. There are all kinds of sickness in the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. To heal and transform humanity, we must remove Jing qi shen blockages. Jing qi shen blockages are the biggest pollution. – page 7, Return to Oneness with the Tao
The Pan Gu Shen Gong is the key to balancing Yin and Yang energies in the body, and an easier and simpler complementary Qigong practice to learn with other advanced meditative practices.
“Qi is the essence of life. It is the origin of life. With Qi, everything grows.
Without Qi, everything dies.” – Master Li Jun Feng
If your are desperately ill or hopelessly sick and modern medicine including surgery gives you little or no help, you may think you need a miracle to get back your health.
This “miracle” may be provided by Qigong and a new electromagnetic healing technology that promises to correct what is wrong with your body especially cancer, kidney diseases, fatigue, high blood pressure, viral infections.
Most ailments are the result of an imbalance in the body’s electrical Wei Qi field, usually due to a drop in supply of anions or negatively charged ions.
Qigong aims to correct this imbalance by bombarding the body with anions or negative ions from nature until the right yin-yang balance is achieved.
When this is accomplished, the human body will go back to its normal functioning self, free of any disease.
According to Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy, “Qigong is a powerful system of healing and energy medicine from China. Qi means “Life-force energy” and gong means “skill,” so Qigong (pronounced Chigong) is the skillful practice of gathering, circulating, and applying life-force energy. It uses breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate the life energy or Qi and leads to better health and vitality and a tranquil state of mind. The primary goal is to purge toxic emotions from within the body’s tissues, eliminate energetic stagnations, as well as strengthen and balance the internal organs and energetic fields.
All living bodies generate an external field of energy called Wei Qi (pronounced “whey chee”), which translates as “protective energy.” The definition of Wei Qi in Medical Qigong is slightly different than that of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In classical TCM texts, the Wei Qi field is seen to be limited to the surface of the body, circulating within the tendon and muscle tissues. In Medical Qigong, however, the Wei Qi field also includes the three external layers of the body’s auric and subtle energy fields. This energy originates from each of the internal organs and radiates through the external tissues. There the Wei Qi forms an energy field that radiates from the entire physical body. This field of Qi protects the body from the invasion of external pathogens and communicates with, as well as interacts with, the surrounding universal and environmental energy fields.
Both internal and external pathogenic factors affect the structural formation of the Wei Qi. The internal factors include suppressed emotional influences (such as anger and grief from emotional traumas). The external factors include environmental influences when they are too severe or chronic, such as Cold, Damp, Heat or Wind, etc. Physical traumas also affect the Wei Qi field.
Any negative interchange affects the Wei Qi by literally creating holes within the matrix of the individual’s external energetic fields. When left unattended, these holes leave the body vulnerable to penetration, and disease begins to take root in the body. Strong emotions, in the form of toxic energy, become trapped within the body’s tissues when we hold back or do not integrate our feelings. These unprocessed emotions block the natural flow of Qi, thus creating stagnant pools of toxic energy within the body.
The body has an energy field that is composed of energetic lines called meridians and channels. Energetic blockages in these channels cause imbalances in the energy field, which can lead to dis-ease. A free flow of energy is needed in the body and energy system for good health and well-being.
Medical Qigong consists of specific techniques that uses the knowledge of the body’s internal and external energy fields to purge, tonify, and balance these energies. Medical Qigong therapy offers patients a safe and effective way to rid themselves of toxic pathogens and years of painful emotions that otherwise, can cause mental and physical illness. This therapy combines breathing techniques with movement, creative visualization, mantras, Tao Calligraphy, and spiritual intent to improve health, personal power, and control over one’s own life.”
Intranasal light therapy is an indispensable therapy as maintenance medicine.
– Ricardo B Serrano, R.Ac.
According to scientific research, intranasal light therapy with 633 nm, stimulates the mitochondria to produce more ATP, and triggers the release of nitric oxide (NO), a powerful cell signaler and activator. NO sends “blood flow signals” that relax arterial walls, dilate the blood vessels, and improve the flow of blood and oxygen everywhere in your body, boosting its ability to heal obesity, heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, stroke, arthritis, high blood pressure, and of course diabetes.
It is also used to reduce anxiety and pain, improve mood and performance, and enter higher meditative states of consciousness by stimulating Qi in the acupuncture meridians improving the Qi flow in the Wei Qi field restoring homeostasis systemically.
Light energy (Qi) is absorbed by the blood vessels in the nasal cavity via intranasal light therapy. According to Chinese medicine, blood provides a carrier for the movement of Qi and nourishes it. Sufficient blood and good blood circulation is essential to maintaining strong Qi for true healing and enlightenment. Light is truly the medicine of the future.
Photobiomodulation is a form of light therapy that utilizes non-ionizing light sources, including lasers, light emitting diodes, and/or broadband light, in the visible (400 – 700 nm) and near-infrared (700 – 1100 nm) electromagnetic spectrum. Light energy is Qi. Light therapy is a form of Qi-healing.
Intranasal light therapy devices consist of three models: 633 Red (LED) and 655 Prime (low-level laser) for systemic use, and 810 Infrared for brain stimulation.
Coconut oil with 655 Prime intranasal light therapy (blood oxygenation) and Eight Extraordinary Meridians Qigong are the best immune system boosters to ward off viruses in my international travels. – Ricardo B Serrano, R.Ac.
Scientists have discovered that light energy (Qi) has positive modulating effects on red blood cells, optimizing their cellular structure and oxygenation capacity. Additionally, photobiomodulation may stimulate mitochondria within white blood cells, potentially leading to an enhanced immune system. Up-regulation of cytochrome c oxidase by intranasal light therapy (ILT) can optimize the oxygenation of the blood of ill patients with COVID-19 whose lungs are affected reducing the oxygenation of their blood. ILT also triggers the release of nitric oxide (NO) that inhibits the replication cycle of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus.
Acupuncture, herbs, diet, exercise, and Qigong are adjuncts to intranasal light therapy.
The amyloid plaques in the neurons of Alzheimer’s brain are removed by photobiomodulation. The Default Mode Network disruptions in the areas of the brain are also targeted and normalized. Photobiomodulation by Vielight Neuro Gamma is a non-drug effective approach that not only works for Alzheimer’s but also works for: anxiety, depression, insomnia, brain injury, CTE, PTSD, stroke, autism, ADHD, Parkinson’s, psychosis, addictions, attain higher meditative states and athletic performance.
Photobiomodulation by Vielight Neuro Gamma is a non-drug approach that not only works to heal depression but also works for cancer-related anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, pain, and cognitive impairment.
CoQ10 is key to our heart health. It’s crucial to protecting your mitochondria. It is key to delaying or preventing mitochondrial depletion. Ubiquinol supplementation with Magnesium is best integrated with intranasal light therapy for healing diseases.
“I take Chinese herbs and practice acupressure, Qigong with intranasal light therapy, and don’t take prescription drugs because of its toxic side-effects and addictive nature. So, traditional Chinese medicine works for me.”
– Ricardo B Serrano, R.Ac.
With continued practice, toning, chanting and humming will literally “tone” the vagus nerve which can help to regulate the nervous system by slowing the heart rate and lowering blood pressure.
A higher vagal tone index is linked to physical and psychological well-being. A low vagal tone index is linked to inflammation, negative moods, loneliness, and heart attacks. — Psychology Today
Prayer is conversation with God. God is the great compassionate physician who alone gives true healing.
Prayer and meditation is like food for the soul or spirit. Praying with prayer beads amplify its effects.
Another way to correct the ionic imbalance is by malachite crystal healing and an electrotherapy device which is described as a multi-functional machine invented in the Philippines that can stimulate and rebuild the body’s natural electric field. Safety precautions and expert guidance for its use are recommended.
The negative ions are provided by electricity from an electromagnetic healing machine that is strapped for a number of hours each day through the Laogong point (Pericardium 9) of the hands and in the feet in the Yong Quan point (Kidney 1) of the patient supplying the healing Qi into the kidneys’ adrenals building the Yuan Qi. This is similar to the effect of internal and external Qigong in the body’s storage of Source Qi in the lower dantian to cultivate the Three Treasures Jing, Qi and Shen for healing and enlightenment.
Additionally and most importantly, negative ions from the air we breathe and draw through the skin from nature cleanse and develop the energy bubble or Wei Qi field of Qigong practitioners which is necessary for healing and returning to oneness with the Higher Self.
Ions are invisible particles, either molecules or atoms, which bear an electric charge. Atoms, for instance, consist of an atomic nucleus that contains neutral neutrons and positively charged protons, as well as orbiting electrons that are negatively charged. When an atom is in a neutral condition, the number of protons (+) and electrons (-) is equal. When the number of protons and electrons is not the same, the particle becomes an ion that is either positively or negatively charged.
Positive Ion (Cation): an atom (or molecule) that has lost one or more electrons due to a high-energy impact. Natural forces that generate positive ions include the decay of radioactive minerals, radon gas, forest fires, lightning and ultraviolet rays.
Negative Ion (Anion): an atom (or molecule) that has gained one or more extra negatively charged electrons. Negative ions are naturally generated by evaporating water, ocean surf, waterfalls and ionic minerals such as Tourmaline and Germanium.
Why do we feel so good walking or practicing Qigong in the woods, on a beach or near a river, breathing fresh air in the mountains, or just breathing fresh air after rain or storm?
Simple … We feel like that due to benign properties of negative ions that are so abundant in these environments.
Negative ions increase the flow of oxygen to the brain resulting in higher alertness, decreased drowsiness, and more mental energy.
Negative ions help recovery from physical exhaustion and fatigue – achieved by increasing oxygen levels in the blood.
Negative ions stabilize brain function – effect – relaxation and calmness.
Negative ions aid in blood purification by increasing the levels of calcium and sodium (healthy salt intake) in the blood stream, negative ions help restore a healthy (slightly alkaline) pH balance to the blood.
Negative ions increase metabolism by stimulating exchange of electronic substances in cells.
Negative ions strengthen immune system – high levels of negative ions promote production of globulin (proteins that are found extensively in blood plasma) in the blood, resulting in stronger resistance to illness.
Negative ions balance autonomic nervous system by balancing the opposing sympathetic and parasympathetic branches of the autonomic nervous system.
Negative ions promote better digestion – by counteracting over-arousal of the sympathetic nervous system, negative ions help ease tension in the stomach and intestines, promoting the production of digestive enzymes and enhancing digestion.
Negative ions promote cell rejuvenation by revitalizing cell metabolism, negative ions enhance vitality of muscle tissue and strengthening internal organs.
Electrotherapy and Qigong work because they are natural negative ion (Qi, prana or shakti) enhancers in the body that stimulate and rebuild the body’s electrical field to heal incurable diseases.
Ricardo B Serrano is the first registered acupuncturist and Qigong master in BC, Canada and North America to integrate the use of electrotherapy and Qigong for healing chronic diseases. To heal chronic diseases, acupuncture, acupressure, herbs and Qi-healing are adjuncts to Electrotherapy, Ionic Detox Foot Bath, internal Qigong.
“Ionic detox foot bath and Far Infrared (FIR) therapy restore the body’s Qi by changing the pH from acidic toward alkaline. Ionic detox helps to facilitate the alkalization process through ionization which removes “free radicals” from the body. Ionic detox is especially good for those suffering from GI disorders, skin conditions, yeast or fungal infections and cancer. FIR induces hyperthermia that elevates local body temperature which increases circulation promoting healing and detoxification.”

Cancer is no longer a “death sentence” and can be cured naturally without the killing side-effects of cytotoxic chemotherapy, surgery or radiation.
Hello to the readers of my book “The Cure & Cause of Cancer”: an alternative holistic approach to heal cancer.
The main reasons for the updates:
1) I have included powerful herbs, ketogenic diet, hemp oil and coconut oil for cancer which are natural substitutes for the intake of hydrazine sulfate, an MAO inhibitor medication.
2) I have also included the reasons for acupuncture and meditation with Guo Lin Qigong as vital adjuncts to natural cancer therapy.
I have been to my native country, Philippines, for four months (December till March, 2013) to research material for my book “The Cure & Cause of Cancer” and I have found powerful herbs used by Filipinos such as Pau d’ Arco (Taheebo), Turmeric, angiogenesis inhibitor, and Guyabano (Graviola) as their main herbs used for alternative cancer therapy. These three herbs together with Cessiac and Chaparral mentioned in the book should not be taken with MAO inhibitor medications and other medications. Risk information for each of these herbs is included in the book for your safety as a prevention for contraindications with MAO inhibitor medication and other synthetic medications, and also tyramine-rich foods.
Guyabano‘s (Graviola) leaves and fruit grown in the Philippines is a miracle cancer cure according to the Filipinos I have interviewed. The main reason is that graviola is an effective cancer fighter stems from a research (published in 2008) conducted at the Purdue University’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences on the unique substances known as annonaceous acetogenins that have been extracted from the graviola tree.
The Purdue investigators found these substances to be potent inhibitors of cancer cells while leaving normal cells alone. They also found the compounds to be effective against drug-resistant cancer cells.
Study Abstract: The “Annonaceous Acetogenins” are promising new antitumor agents that are found only in the plant family Annonaceae. Chemically, they are derivatives of long-chain fatty acids. Biologically, they exhibit their potent bioactivities through depletion of ATP levels via inhibiting complex I of mitochondria and inhibiting the NADH oxidase of plasma membranes of tumor cells. Thus, they thwart ATP-driven resistance mechanisms.
According to Dr. Joseph Gold, the developer of hydrazine sulfate, “Effective cancer control may lie, rather, with therapy of the ‘shift’ to glycolysis, than with tumor therapy, potentially obviating such developments as drug resistance and major drug toxicity. In this regard it is recognized that not only can the “metabolic shift to enhanced glycolysis” provide a basis for cancer treatment but that discovery of the regulatory mechanism(s) underlying this metabolic shift may be essential to the future development of anti-cancer therapy.”
Thank you for reading this book and bless you. God has not given a disease for which there is no natural remedy. The cure and cause of cancer is within you.

If you’re a practitioner of holistic healing, or you are interested in learning more about it, the series of three books by Ricardo B. Serrano, R. Ac., on the Qi and Qigong types and techniques that culminates with Return to Oneness with Spirit through Pan Gu Shen Gong are ones you will want to check out. Each one is fascinating and informative, going into ancient belief systems and healing techniques like herbology, meditation, the Tao, yoga, acupuncture, and Qi-healing and other Qi Gong practices. I really enjoyed reading the previous two books in the series, Return to Oneness with the Tao and Meditation and Qigong Mastery, but I think this third book is even better than the first two.
In each of the books, the author has used his extensive knowledge of numerous holistic healing practices to analyze what others have previously said about the subjects he discusses. He has taken the combined knowledge of these numerous and varied sources and healing practices and he has collected his findings with his own commentary and analysis into these books, making them invaluable resources.
Specifically, in this third book, Serrano focuses primarily on the Pan Gu Shen Gong, and through his descriptions and the black-and-white photos of himself performing certain techniques, anyone can learn to use Pan Gu Shen Gong to improve your overall health and level of happiness. Also, Serrano elaborates on topics like EFT Qi-healer’s Method to effectively clear and release the emotional debris held in the body, cultivate the Three Treasures of Jing, Qi, and Shen, and strengthen one’s self-awareness through the combination of Toltec wisdom, Qigong, Qi-healing, emotional freedom technique therapy, ear acupuncture, and Chinese tonic herbs.
What is Pan Gu Shen Gong, you ask? According to the book, Pan Gu is “the creator of the universe.” Pan Gu Shen Gong is “also called the Heaven, Earth, Sun and Moon Qigong,” and it “was created by Master Ou Wen Wei.” Another way to put what it is would be to say it’s “a simple but effective Qigong to learn for healing their chronic diseases.” “Jing Shen” refers in Chinese to man’s spirit. The word “Shen” by itself “refers to man’s thinking ability, which is unrestricted and limitless.”
One chapter in the book mentions some of the special features of Pan Gu Shen Qigong. For example, it is easy to learn and grasp, practicing it produces immediate results, only 15-20 minutes of practicing it daily is required, and anyone of any age or ability can learn it. Qi-healing is “a personal, one-on-one energy treatment offered by a Qigong Master.” The Qigong Master emits an energy that “works to fortify the patient’s body, reinforcing the immune system to fight disease, and strengthening Life Force.”
You don’t have to be a Qigong Master or know one to benefit from and learn how to do Pan Gu Shen Qigong. Practicing it can help you heal from a range of eleven categories of diseases, though “it in no way claims to be 100 percent effective in all cases.” Some of the categories are palpitation, coronary heart disease, hypertension; retinitis, allergic rhinitis, cervical spine infection; rheumatic and rheumatoid arthritis; and vertigo and motion sickness.
Return to Oneness with Spirit through Pan Gu Shen Gong is a practical guide to learning about and to practicing Pan Gu Shen Gong to aid in holistic healing. It’s a fascinating compilation of the wisdom and knowledge of the ancients, and demonstrates that modern medicine with all of its wonders and wonder drugs could still stand to learn much from acknowledging the knowledge of healing that people of the past had. This book and the entire series are Must-Reads for anyone interested in holistic healing and how people can benefit from learning to be less dependent on modern-day doctors and medicines. Interested in reading New Age books about holistic healing, the Tao, Qigong, and other related topics? Then, the second book in the series by Ricardo B. Serrano, R. Ac., Return to Oneness with the Tao, is just the book for you! In it, the talented and always informative author covers many topics that, when combined, will aid YOU in healing yourselves emotionally and physically, and in your personal spiritual awakening. The insightful commentaries and quotes from the Tao are worth the price of the book in themselves, but you will also learn Taoist meditation and Qigong inner alchemy techniques like lower dantien breathing, Microcosmic Orbit Qigong, primordial Wu Ji Qigong, meditation on twin hearts, and Tibetan Shamanic Qigong (relax; it’s all explained in the book).
Why are these topics important to learn about? Knowing these things will help you to cultivate the Three Treasures Jing, Qi, and Shen, which Serrano also discusses and defines in the first book of the series (reviewed elsewhere here), Meditation & Qigong Mastery. Among other factors for personal transformation and healing, the book mentions that two most powerful factors are “awareness and intention.”
Many of our emotional and physical problems are caused, the book asserts, by a blocking of our life force, or Qi. We must learn what the emotional root cause of the blockage is before we then intentionaly release it through meditation and Qigong. It’s vital to do this, in order to effect a “process of change for personal transformation and healing.”
What is Wuji Qigong? According to the book, it’s “Tai Chi for enlightenment.” Practicing it allows you “to reconnect with the Taoist immortals.” It also “activates one’s lightbody (Merkaba), opens one’s heart to unconditional love and heals holographically.” In the section of Serrano’s book that discusses this, we also learn the importance of the number twelve in Taoist numerology, Sacred Geometry, and the Chinese calendar. As the author notes, twelve is “related to the 12 meridians in your body , and the 12 hour ‘chi clock’ of their flow cycle.”
I can’t cover every topic the book discusses, but I really liked reading the translated quotes from the Tao Te Ching (The Classic Way). Just thinking about some of them can lead to moments of enlightenment, like Koan riddles. One example is:
Since Being and non-being give birth to each other,
Difficulty and ease complete each other,
Long and short measure each other,
High and low overflow into each other,
Voice and sound harmonize with each other,
And before and after follow each other.
Return to Oneness with the Tao by Ricardo B. Serrano, R.Ac. is a worthy addition to the series. We, as humans, attain knowledge and enlightenment in a series of steps, much like steps (or series of books) Serrano has written. This is a book that you’ll want to add to your personal libraries if you read and enjoyed the first book, and it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone book. Once you read it, you’ll want to get the entire series.

If you read Ricardo B. Serrano’s informative and enlightening book, Meditation & Qigong Mastery, you will learn many meditation and healing practices that you can put into use in your daily lives. You will definitely learn new things and techniques to improve your health, make you a happier person, and awaken you spiritually, as the subtitle suggests. This is not just another “New Age,” book; it is a very well-written and researched book that gathers together the collected wisdom of several ancient cultures, philosophies, and religions, and synthesizes it into an understandable form that is designed to benefit anybody who buys and reads the book.
What are some of the topics the book covers? What the heck are “lightbodies”? By “lightbodies,” the author is referring to EMFs (electromagnetic fields) or Wei Qi or merkaba. Among other topics, the book goes over various techniques like types of meditation and Qigong principles that you can learn to use to activate and develop your lightbodies/EMFs. Also, Omkabah heart lightbody activation and Maitreya (Shiva) Shen Gong are introduced. Useful mantras are included, with tip about what to picture in your minds as you recite them, and what they mean.
Okay, I admit I wrote in the first paragraph that the author puts all of this information into an “understandable form,” and maybe I used some unfamiliar jargon – most of it was new to me, too, before I read this book. However, the concepts and jargon are explained as you read along, and are worth your while to read about, learn, and put into practice.
One of the many interesting things I read in the book is the Oriental concept of the “Three Treasures.” The goal of all Oriental healing is, according to the book, to cultivate, balance, and expand the Three Treasures. They are: Jing, Qi, and Shen. Jing has been called, it states in the book, the “superior ultimate” treasure. Without Jing energy, we cannot live. It exists in small quantities in our bodies, enters into our tissues, and becomes the root of our body.
Qi is the “invisible life source which enables the body to think and perform voluntary movement.” You see Qi when you see people move and live. It’s in the movement of energy in the cosmos and in all other movements and changes, like those in nature. It circulates throughout the twelve meridians or energy circuitry of the body.
Shen energy, the book states, “is similar to the English meaning of the words ‘mind’ and ‘spirit..” When Jing and Qi energy is combined, it creates Shen energy. Also, when Jing and Qi are balanced, the body and mind are strong.
I can’t touch on every fascinating topic described in Meditation & Qigong Mastery in detail in a review and do them justice, but the chapters include information that will benefit those at all levels of experience. The mantras described help in the meditation process, and are quite useful to know. The book teaches about Mayan science and religion, and the Kundalini Awakening that’s occurring in the Mayan pyramids. The illustrations and photographs scattered throughout are great accompaniments to the text.
Meditation & Qigong Mastery is an incredible and thought-provoking start to a series of books on various healing practices, meditation, and the keys to inner happiness by Ricardo B. Serrano, R.Ac.. If you are interested in learning more about meditation and Qigong, I highly recommend that you check out this book and add it to your reading lists.

The wisdom and healing techniques of many ancient civilizations are as pertinent today as they ever were in the past. In the fascinating and informative Keys to Healing and Self-Mastery according to the Hathors, the fourth book in a series by Ricardo B. Serrano, he has gathered and compiled many healing techniques that can be put into practice by anyone. The practices, diet regimen, and philosophies detailed in the book can help improve one’s health, and are useful at managing the daily stress everyone experiences in their lives.
Who were/are the Hathors? There was a goddess of Egypt called Hathor, but the Hathors mentioned in the chapter “Who the Hathors are & Why They Have Come” are aliens from the Sirius galaxy: “We originally came from another universe by way of Sirius which is a portal to your Universe, and from Sirius we eventually proceeded to your solar system and the etheric realms of Venus.” Whether or not you might believe in the existence of aliens, or think that the Hathors were/are aliens, the information detailed in Serrano’s book can have definite benefits to your health and healing if they are put into practice.
What are the topics discussed within the book? Opening up the chakras, holographic sound healing, the Qigong and how it relates to the holographic sound healing, a chapter on the “Budwig Diet for Cancer and Chronic Diseases,” and one about the importance of flaxseed oil as the richest source of omega-3 EFA, among others.
I was unfamiliar with much of the topics and information described in the book before I read it, but I found it all very interesting and thought-provoking. One does not necessarily have to put into place every practice mentioned within the book to see an improvement in one’s health, but reading about each and its potential benefits was fascinating.
Before reading the book, I had not known that there was any other source of omega-3 fatty acids other than fish. I like eating fish, but for those who don’t, or vegans, flaxseed oil is a great alternative source of omega-3 EFA fatty acids. They are essential fatty acids “the body needs to live, yet cannot make.” These acids, according to the book, “may lower levels of total cholesterol,” “may lower arterial blood pressure,” and “are necessary to the development of the human brain during pregnancy and early childhood,” besides being vital in several other ways to our health.
There are terms in the book such as “auric field” “Ka” and “Sahhu” that many readers might not be familiar with, but there is a handy glossary for the scientific terms, and many of the other terms are defined within the body of the text. The stated goal of the book is “to build the Ka (Merkaba).” The Ka can be considered to be the soul, or “the essential fundamental body,” or “our pranic body.”
Also, another goal is “to attain a Sahhu or immortal golden lightbody.” Doing this, the book asserts, “is the ultimate goal of Taoist, Buddhist, Mayan, Shaivite, Egyptian internal alchemy practices, Qigong, Merkaba meditations, and the Hathor’s Holographic Sound Healing.” Though the title of the book mentions just the Hathors, it really combines elements of these other belief systems, as well.
Keys to Healing and Self-Mastery according to the Hathors by Ricardo B. Serrano, R.Ac., is an excellent addition to his series of books designed to enlighten people and improve their emotional and physical health. I have barely touched on the many topics detailed within the pages of this manual to well-being. It’s best to read and experience the book and then to try out the practices on your own. If you are interested in holistic healing practices, Oriental and world philosophies/religions, and ways to improve your health, in general, this is a book you’ll want to add to your reading lists.
