The magic of manifestation happens when the Spirit (Shen), the Heart and the Mind join as ONE.- Dr Rulin Xiu
Liu He Ba Fa (LHBF) utilizes the power of Xingyi as its center, utilizes the stepping patterns of Bagua for its turning and spinning, and utilizes the neutralizing power of Taiji for its variations. Its movements are sometimes high, sometimes low, sometimes fast, sometimes slow. These movements resemble that of floating clouds, and flowing water that is sometimes calm, sometimes surging. Therefore, it is also known as Water Style. The movements of Liu He Ba Fa are constantly fluctuating with clearly defined forward, backward, upward, downward, and lateral motions. Each and every movement is lead by the mind (xin yi). The mind initiates and the movements follow. It is therefore, also known as Xinyi Liu He Ba Fa. As an internal art, it not only serves as a system of self defence; it also benefits health, strengthens the body, dispels sickness and increases longevity, and to achieve enlightenment.
Zhan Zhuang Qigong is practiced before commencing LHBF’s 12 movements to circulate the Qi in the macrocosmic orbit, expand Wei Qi field and build the lower dantien. The movements are very grounding building the Qi in leg meridians and arm meridians for healing and fajing (Qi emission) Kong power.

The living are soft and yielding; the dead are rigid and stiff. – Tao De Jing
Nothing in the world is as soft and yielding as water. Yet for dissolving the hard and inflexible, nothing can surpass it. – Verse 78, Tao De Jing
Liu He Ba Fa (LHBF) is translated as Six Unities/Harmonies and Eight Principles, and was created by Taoist hermit Chen Tuan. LHBF is a unique 1000-year old internal martial art that incorporates the qualities and strengths of the three Internal Chinese martial art styles of Taichi, Xingyi, and Bagua.

Even among all yogis, one whose inner self has come to me, who is full of faith, who offers love to me – that one is considered by me to be the most deeply absorbed in yoga. – Bhagavad Gita 6.47
A Commentary on the Journey to the West by Ricardo B Serrano:
Sun Wukong, Monkey King
The popular Chinese novel Zhang Jizhong, Journey to the West (2011) with 66 episodes in video format is a fictionalized account of the legendary pilgrimage to India of the Buddhist monk Xuanzang, and loosely based its source from the historic text Great Tang Records on the Western Regions and traditional folk tales.
The monk travelled to the “Western Regions” during the Tang Dynasty, to obtain sacred texts (sutras). Bodhisattva Kuan Yin, on instruction from the Buddha, gives this task to the monk and his three protectors in the form of disciples — namely Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing — together with a dragon prince who acts as Xuanzang’s steed, a white horse. These four characters have agreed to help Xuanzang as an atonement for past sins.
My favorite main character of this awesome Buddhist novel is the Monkey King Sun Wukong because he is the Chinese version of Lord Hanuman who is an ascended master of Kashmir Shaivism. The Heart Sutra mantra of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara is also the novel’s theme song and practiced by the warrior characters of the novel with devotion to their Sifu/Master Xuanzang and Bodhisattva Kuan Yin and Gautama Buddha which I believe are instrumental to their eventual enlightenment in the span of over 10 years along their perilous journey against demons, human robbers, gods and evil spirits.
This Chinese Buddhist novel is a metaphor to the ancient immortals’ inner quest for returning to oneness with the essence of true consciousness, called the Atma (Higher Soul) or the Original Spirit (Yuan Shen), which is fundamentally our illumined original nature.
This Chinese Buddhist novel reminded me of my spiritual journey of over 45 years as an immigrant from the Philippines to Canada with a three month Chinese Medicine internship stay in Zhejiang, China that I was fully grateful for learning from life challenges in healing and relationships, and from my Taoist and Buddhist Qigong and Chinese medicine teachers which have all been necessary lessons for my healing and spiritual growth and Self-realization (soul enlightenment).
Unfortunately, the spiritual journey has been difficult for most Chinese themselves in mainland China due to the fact that it’s political Chinese Communist Party as an evil cult suppresses freedom of religion – Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, and other spiritual paths such as (spiritual Qigong) for healing and Qi cultivation with spiritual growth.
“Form is emptiness, emptiness is form.” – Heart Sutra
An important spiritual message for me after finishing this long novel is that the truth about emptiness has to be experienced before believing “Form is emptiness, emptiness is form,” stated in the Heart Sutra, an important Buddhist sutra. The essence of all things is emptiness.
The Noble Eightfold Path is an important path to the Heart Sutra practitioners:
The Four Agreements are a set of guiding principles to help us live in harmony with ourselves and others:
The purpose of Sacred Tao Wisdom is to build higher dimensional lightbody for healing and transformation. – Master Sha
Lamas and Qigong masters have demonstrated the use of Qigong to develop your Energy Bubble, Electromagnetic Field (EMF), or Soul Lightbody by rooting down to earth’s EMF when intented for self-defense, healing and enlightenment. As an integral system of Oriental medicine, Qigong is based on the coherence of human energy fields within the universal flow of Qi, or life force from heaven and earth accompanied with the blissful expanded sense of oneness and physical, mental, emotional and spiritual equanimity.
The practice of Zhan Zhuang Qigong aligns the body’s EMF with the Earth’s EMF and enables the body to root down, and increase our ability to induct and conduct this EM force. The longer, and the more you train, the stronger your electromagnetic field (EMF) gets. This is essentially how Lin Kong Jing, the empty force, manifests when called on for healing, transformation or self-defense.
The practice of Sacred Tao Wisdom (Tao calligraphy with Tao meditation), Sheng Zhen Wuji Yuan Gong (or Wuji Qigong) with 13-posture Tai Chi aligns the body’s EMF with the Earth’s EMF and heaven’s Tian Qi, spiritual divine energy, purifying the physical body, calming the emotional body, and opening the heart/ elevating the Spirit together with building the Three Treasures – Jing, Qi and Shen – developing the Energy Bubble (Lightbody) leading to whole body enlightenment, as opposed to head enlightenment taught by other popular yoga schools that cause negative after-effects of post kundalini syndromes.
The practice of Earth Qigong, as an important component of the Enlightenment Qigong forms, accesses the Earth’s “Di Qi” and energy body to develop and expand your energy body’s connection with the Cosmic Christ (Buddhic) consciousness grid – the unified field of the planet’s energy body and its consciousness together with universal consciousness. This is based on the principle of interconnectedness or oneness which states that we are interconnected with the whole cosmos (earth, sun, moon, solar system, stars) or universe and each other. Read Cultivating Qi energy in the Hara
The practice of Heaven Qigong, as another important component of the Enlightenment Qigong forms, replenishes the heaven’s “Tian Qi” or spiritual divine energy to develop strong internal Qi, especially when fused with the Earth’s “Di Qi” derived from Earth Qigong practice. Healing and enlightenment are made possible through the awakening of the kundalini by opening and activation of the 5 energy gateways – crown of the head, palms of the hands, and soles of the feet – by the combined practice of Heaven and Earth Qigong in the ancient heart opening lineage Enlightenment Qigong Forms.
Through the practice of Enlightenment Qigong forms such as Sacred Tao Wisdom (Tao calligraphy and Tao meditation), Tao Healing Hands, Pan Gu Shengong, Primordial Wuji Qigong, Sheng Zhen Qigong, 13-posture Tai Chi and Maitreya sitting Qigong together with Tibetan Shamanic Qigong, the body and mind become very calm. This state of peace allows the heart to open to its natural state of unconditional love. The unconditional love (Sheng Zhen) of the universe floods into and out of the heart of the practitioner, producing a state of wholeness, of oneness with All. When one arrives at this altered Qigong state, there is a sense of merging with everything everywhere. The practitioner returns to his natural state, a state of perfect well-being.
NOTE by Ricardo B Serrano, certified Qigong teacher: The Sacred Tao wisdom taught in the Grand Unification (Tao Chang) practice workshop by Dr. Rulin Xiu, and in a 5-week workshop by Tao Grandmaster Zhi Gang Sha is solely for uplifting the practitioner’s wisdom and abilities to heal and transform by cultivating the Jing essence and Yuan Qi in the energy centers in the lower abdomen to reach Tao and soul enlightenment, and not for teaching Tao wisdom calligraphy to others.
Tao that is voiced is no longer that of eternal Tao;
The name that has been written is no longer that of eternal name.
The nameless is the beginning of the cosmic universe;
The named is the mother of myriad creatures.
Being at peace, one can see into the subtle.
Engaging with passion, one can see into the manifest.
They both arise from a common source but have different names;
Both are called the mystery within the mystery.
The are the door to all wonders.
— Chapter One in Tao Te Ching

Tao Calligraphy™ is a revolutionary healing art based on an ancient form of one-stroke calligraphy (Yi Bi Zi) that Master Sha learned from sole lineage holder, Professor Li Qiu Yun.
The result is Tao Calligraphy™, which creates a powerful vibrational field, in this unique vibrational field, we can transform negative information and energy in our own vibrational field by absorbing the positive information and energy of the Tao Calligraphy. This can result in positive changes in our lives.

Quantum entanglement is the medium or channel for soul healings, distance healings and transformation in our soul journey towards soul enlightenment. – Ricardo B Serrano, Tao Hands practitioner
Soul Healing is not similar to Qigong healing. Qigong is energy healing. We go beyond energy. It’s Divine Healing Hands or Divine Soul Healing. We can do one-to-one healing, group healing, and distance healing. There are all kinds of sickness in the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. To heal and transform humanity, we must remove Jing qi shen blockages. Jing qi shen blockages are the biggest pollution. – page 7, Return to Oneness with the Tao

“You will find ‘Return to Oneness with Shiva‘ an excellent addition to your spiritual and healing library.” – Bookreview.com
“Return to Oneness with Shiva,” is the fifth book in Canadian author Ricardo Serrano’s series on pranic healing for the Integral Studies of Inner Sciences. The four Enlightenment Qigong forms synthesized and taught by Serrano, R.Ac., applied individually or in combination with spontaneous Tibetan Shamanic Qigong and Merkaba/Shaktipat meditation, provide a basic foundation for understanding and experiencing both spiritual enlightenment and healing of the self and others, through contemplations with movement and non-moving meditation, wherein the practitioner is enabled “to return to oneness by connecting oneself with heaven, earth and humanity.”
The earliest written record of Qigong as a healing technique was written during the Han Dynasty (240 B.C.). At that time classic Chinese medicine was a quasi-religious system. Serrano goes to great lengths to expose the reader to the varied and eclectic forms in which it is practiced today throughout the world. He has constantly contemplated the teachings and meditation practices of the great Masters, adding the integration of Qigong with Siddha meditation as his contribution.
“Return to Oneness with Shiva” has dozens of quotations and references as well as many beautiful and powerful meditations. For a reader unfamiliar with Eastern spiritualism and medicine, the vocabulary can be a bit daunting, but well worth patient effort. For the reader already immersed in a spiritual journey, the book will be a treasure of shared and new experiences. Serrano has studied many paths to healing and returning to oneness and he presents them with clarity and reverence. He has given us a literature that rewards careful and repeated reading and contemplation.
Understandably, Serrano believes that it greatly benefits a person on a spiritual quest for healing, self-mastership, and soul-realization to have guidance. Throughout the past thirty years he has experienced his most powerful transformative experiences while under the guidance of great Masters. He encourages his readers, therefore, to attend his healing, meditation and Qigong workshops (one can find information about these online at innerway.ca). Whether or not you are able to take advantage of these, bookreview.com believes you will find “Return to Oneness with Shiva” an excellent addition to your spiritual and healing library.
